One Concept At A Time

During my training at Union University, I was hired in the Hundley Center as a Tutor in Math, Physics, and Engineering subjects. Through tout my experience in tutoring inside and outside Union (private home tutoring) I was successful in bringing my students grades from C to A in just few sessions. I enjoyed assisting others in better understanding scientific subjects. Almost all my students continue their record of A's as well as loving the subject. Arabic is my mother tongue, and I was always the first in my classes in the various Arabic subjects. I was born in Kiev, former the Soviet Union and at 1969 I was graduated from Kiev Pedagogical University with BA in math. FROM 1970 till 1991 I was a teacher of algebra, geometry, trigonometry, and calculus at Kiev High School #4. From 1995 till 1998 I was working as a math tutor at Sylvan and Huntington Learning Centers in Los Angeles. Since 1998 till 2010 I was working as a math teacher at Fulton College Prep School teaching Algebra1, Algebra2, ang Geometry. I use a white board when teach people because I find people get less stressed out when working with a problem if there is less scribbles on the paper. I also have a strong belief that it only takes one good example to understand the problem so I give the people I tutor one really good generic example of the topic and tell them to copy it down and refer to that example often and I find that it helps a lot.
I have a variety of degrees and specialties but math is my strong suite. I have tutored friends with great results. I have helped people in math classes ranging from simple math to statistics and even college level math. I love math and English and I also love working with people of all ages and teaching them to love math as well.
