Specializing in English, Spanish, and Elementary help!!

I like to be presented with the material at hand and evaluate what the child/student knows before I dive in. After this initial assessment, I take more of an interactive approach. I constantly offer feedback and guide the student in reaching the correct answers without just giving them away. If the problem calls for drawings or manipulatives, I utilize these resources to the fullest.
My area of expertise is the English language and grammar. I took two year's worth of Advanced Placement English classes during high school and made either 4's or 5's on both exams. A Little Bit About Me...

During my high school career I was frequently called upon to be a teacher's assistant. This was over fourth, fifth, and sixth graders the majority of the time. I also tutored a fellow classmate in Algebra q, chemistry and biology. I also currently have a job tutoring two sixth graders in math and english. Hands on- creative-student centered learning!

I think that a lot of learning happens by students being actively engaged in what they are learning. I try to get/make hands on activities for students to learn.
I am a certified teacher. I have taught first grade and I am currently teaching second grade. I have 2 years experience as a tutor for students in elementary school and also high school. I work hard to help students do the best they can. I look for ideas outside the box to help students learn. A Little Bit About Me...

I have 8 years experience with tutoring students in the public school sector. I also have tutored students outside of the school setting. My current career is working in the public school sector helping children succeed through intervention techniques. My focus is to assist children in succeeding in everything they may do in life. I have been going to college for 7 years. First I started out as wanting to be a chemical engineer, so I have a wide range of math and chemistry courses. Second, I went to school to be a forensic psychologist, so I have a vast amount of criminal justice courses. As a teacher, you learn to adapt you teaching style to fit the student; therefore, a tutoring position would allow me to use the teaching style that fits best with the individual with whom I am currently working.

Currently I'm a high school student at Lincoln Charter school in Denver. Ever since I started High school I've taken all honors classes, and graduated those classes with 90's and above. Right now I'm currently taking college writing class 111 and 112 in the 11th Grade. I take AP U.S. History. I enjoy reading and writing in my free time. Language, Grammar, Punctuation and Writing comes very naturally to me. Currently in my College writing class I have a 98%.
I can accommodate to what is best for your learning needs, I do not like tutoring online. Face to face is better; I like to know who I'm teaching on a personal level in order to make them comfortable when learning. Learning should be a fun process, not stressful!
