I have 13 years of classroom teaching experience. I have taught in various elementary setting including urban, suburban, and rural populations. I have taught in very large classrooms with 31 students in them and very small classrooms with only 3 students in them. In addition to teaching in the classroom I have also lead professional development on writing, how to disaggregate standardized assessments, student engagement, and on the reading comprehension strategies.
My teaching style meets the needs of the individual students. So, it varies depending on teh learning style and need.

I taught English as a second language to adults in Fes, Morocco for two years and taught kindergarten through high school in Seoul, Korea for 10 years. My comments on tutoring Elementary Phonics : Tutored young children for two years in the phonics and watched them improve greatly. Phonics is the corner stone to the path to being a proficient reader.

I believe that the youth are in dire need of adults that have a heart to teach. As a teacher of your child, I want to be able to spend that time as productive as possible. I earned a BA degree in Psychology with an emphasis in Behavior Analysis, and a minor in Animal Behavior.
