I have taught private music lessons since 2006. My primary instrument is piano. I have tutored English, Math and Science for the last 3 years. My students have achieved fantastic results. Although I do not teach to tests or scores of any kind, but only to the needs I see in the student, I have been amazed at how quickly t it reflects on their scores, and more importantly, on their self-confidence and motivation. My favorite subject is reading. I am bilingual in English and Spanish.

My comments on tutoring Chemistry : Have tutored introductory chemistry: very good with helping understand concepts behind equations used for molality, molarity and balancing equations etc.....

Aim at starting from the ground. Don't assume that students knows. Concentrate on concepts and having student understand. The point is having a reference from which the student can start from.
Ease up the burden...And find solutions not just formulas...You pay after each lesson all the time any time(tutoring from your own home)....Best of All: TRIAL LESSON IS FREE! Try it out: only need an e-mail and internet service for online service. Any questions let me know. Have taught over 8 years at various levels: from middle school to university students. Expert on teaching Calculus, Physics, Algebra and all levels of Mathematics. Very good at teaching statistics. Have tutored on Electrical Engineering and overall Engineering. Have also tutored University students on LSAT as a volunteer and for pay.

Combined from the different professors and instructors from my education career
Started learning CAD since high school. This involved starting from the basics of paper, pencil, and drafting tools for techniques. Conceptual hands on to be associated when moving into Computer Aided Drafting. Afterwards decided to complete certification in CAD and combine it with my Associate's in Mechanical Engineering Degree. Lets not forget that right after high school with the basics I was able to land a job through a internship and use the applied knowledge of CAD.

I work with a hands-on approach. There is a lot of logical thinking and step-by-step processing in math and science. So, the student and I work together through each problem until they understand the process.
I used to work at several private schools in Jordan. Many of the schools were applying American teaching styles to their system. I am capable of tutoring all levels of mathematics, physics, and many computer subjects.

More About This Tutor...

Teaching is a very rewarding experience. I especially like to see when my students progress to a higher level. I believe all children can learn but they often have different learning styles. As a teacher, I varied my teaching style to match a student's learning style. I like to do discovery labs and give the students a little information about the lab and they would create the lab. Students are very creative when given the opportunity and motivation to be creative. At the end of a class, I would like my students as they leave the classroom to think that they learned something new and also had fun.

A Little Bit About Me...

For the time that I spent teaching, my experience included working in a newly established school in Saipan where I was involved with a class that had different age levels, such as third, fourth, seventh and eighth. This allowed me the opportunity to learn to work with various age levels as well as different nationalities. Also, I spent time working for the Las Cruces Public School System in which I was able to labor with teachers who had students with learning disabilities, plus regular elementary age kids. This occasion allowed me to appreciate the hard work the teachers put into the students and understand how hard it can be, yet to persevere no matter what may happen, since any little improvement is an encouragement to them. Plus, the time that I spent tutoring, mainly elementary age groups, gave me the ability to understand the importance of working with people who are struggling and ... read more

A Little Bit About Me...

Upon entering college in 1998, I had already taken Calculus while most other students were typically taking Algebra. This presented a good opportunity, but it is one thing is to know the material well and it is another thing to know how to teach. Since I have a younger brother, I developed these skills early on by tutoring him and his friends. I have tutored a wide variety of learning types: gifted students, students with learning disabilities, shy personalities, easily distracted students, etc. Here is a list of classes I have tutored: Algebra, Trigonometry, Geometry, Statistics, Calculus I & 2, General Chemistry I and II, Analytical and Physical Chemistry, and Physics.
No two students are the same which is why it is so important to have a flexible teaching style. My first lesson is usually spent analyzing a students attention level, skill level, and learning style. Some stu ... read more

A Little Bit About Me...

I got my first teaching experience as a lab instructor for undergraduate physics labs and fell in love with the profession. The best part of the experience is seeing the student grasp a concept that they felt out of reach. I enjoy coming up with inventive ways of communicating the difficult portions of math and science. Most of my students benefited from my teaching style which includes many examples and encourages a dialogue approach to difficult concepts.
As a non-traditional student I recognize the necessity to create a level of confidence that inspires a student to continue their education with success. I feel that perspectives on learning and my life-experience make me an ideal contact for any student interested in mastering the topics of math, physics, chemistry, or Spanish. I am experienced in the grading and writing of lab reports and other technical forms of communicat ... read more

A Little Bit About Me...

I worked as substitute teacher for the Denver Public Schools during my senior year of university. I have also worked and certified as instructor in the US Army in several fields to include math and science.
I enjoy teaching kids and particular the satisfaction that the kid gets when they finally understand the subject. I believe I must make myself fit to the students needs and not the student to my way of teaching, because there are many ways to have a kid understand the subject. Education is the tool that will open the doors of opportunity and will enhance your individual worth.

A Little Bit About Me...

I believe that education is built from the foundation up. In the first tutoring session, I evaluate the student to see whether or not all the fundamentals of the subject area have been effectively taught to the student. Once the student shows a firm understanding of the basics, I then build on this foundation so they may catch up to and excel in the current subject area. In addition to providing tutelage in the specific area, I believe in developing good study habits and work ethic, which facilitates excellence in every subject area. Through assessing the student and exercising patience, I have maintained an excellent track record of successful tutoring.

My teaching style is very flexible. Because I have worked with children, teenagers, and adults, the ability to adapt to the learner's ability level is especially important. Not all people learn at the exact pact, therefore, flexibility is essential as well as non traditional teaching methods. Some non traditional teaching methods I have applied include interpreting math problems through real life situations. I find that some kids will relate to NBA references while others prefer food examples. Either way, it keeps the child interested which is the key role of a good tutor.
Although I listed only 2 years of prior instruction, I have taught over 5 years of business/finance related material. On a school level basis, I personally have a child with ADHD that I tutor at home. I am especially proficient in English/Language Arts.
