I believe that people have different preferred learning styles. Some are visual learners, some audio, some physical, and some use pure intellect. Often, class size prohibits even very good educators from catering to the need of each individual's learning style. A Little Bit About Me...

I have always loved mathematics and during high school I knew I wanted to work with children. During my senior year of high school I completed the Regional Program of Excellence through BOCES. This experience made me determine that becoming a teacher was what I wanted to do. I attended Siena College from September of 2005 until May of 2009. I am currently working on my Master's Degree at Utica College in their Leadership and Instruction in Inclusive Classrooms program.
I enjoy being creative in the classroom. I try to develop activities that will help my students master the material but also enjoy learning. I encourage students to see the wonder and "mystery" (there really isn't any mystery) of Math, regardless of the level, in the real world. To that aid, I try to present real world problems at levels the student can understand. For lower level students, I investigate with them the development of the linear equations involved in setting up a relationship between two factors.
