My comments on tutoring ADD/ADHD : I am an adult with ADHD and I have knowledge and experince with working with students who have ADHD and ADD.

I learn visually and by reading the subject materials. I teach by showing students what they need to know by reading and using visual aids in my teaching style. I incorporate technology in my teaching because some students are hands on. I teach students in groups and individually.

ADD/ADHD is one of my top subjects!

I have taught at the primary and secondary grade level in all subject areas. I have been a substitute for two years and have worked within diverse school districts around Ohio. I hold a B.S degree with Latin Honors in Special Education K-12 and have taken various courses for reading specialist. I attended Ohio State University for two years and Ohio Dominican University. Unique Tutor

I often use word games or riddles as rewards for good work. It motivates effort from my students and makes them listen more closely. With my esl students, I made sure to apply new words to their life in order to gain the most retention of the new vocabulary words. The approach I use of ask students to draw from their own lives in order to illustrate meaning and comprehension encourages a dailogue that works well with any vocabulary words for any age group.

As a teacher, accountant, mother of 4, I have seen so many changes in education. Thank goodness, we are looking more at the student as an individual than as a cookie cutter kid.
