Every child can learn, so every child deserves to learn.

I teach in the way of Scaffolding. I give the learner all the assistance they need until they no longer need it any more. I start by giving a lot of cues and help with each step. Then I slowly take the training wheels off and each time, I let them show me more and more what they can do with out the help. I hope to create leaders.
I have been teaching children younger than myself since I started teaching Sunday school classes and became a adolescent influence in my previous youth group. I new all along I was going to be a teacher. I have been tutoring my younger nephews since they are now in grade level courses. Let's get back down to the basics (Latin, History, Science)

I recieved a BA degree from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. I majored in Classical Civilization (with a Latin Concentration) and History. I have 12 years of experience teaching Latin. The courses I have taught include introductory courses, Latin I, Latin II, and Latin III. 3 years of Life Science teaching experience. 4 years of History teaching experience (as a tour guide and history interpreter) 12 years of experience teaching writing as well.
I like to boil things down to the basics. With Latin and Science that means learning as much as one can about the basic elements and then building one step at a time on those basics. In history, it means learning the story, and telling the story.
