I consider myself to be fun and entertaining and very approachable in my teaching methods. I have worked with at-risk children in the Chicago Public Schools system to teach a wide range of skills, primarily focusing on college readiness skills, essay and resume writing, ACT preparation, and remedial and advanced reading techniques. As an educator, I strive to discern the individual needs of each student and tailor my approach accordingly. I use my communication skills and extensive experience to explain concepts in such a way that each student can understand. Building confidence is my strong suit, and kids sense that I really care about them. I'm patient, compassionate and have a sense of humor.
