As a previous Tupelo Public School Spanish teacher, I have six years experience teaching grades four through six.In addition, I received my BS in Social Work from the University of Mississippi where I graduated with honors.My courses have given me extensive preparation in many areas, such as writing and grammatical skills. I have worked as a translator, interpreter, art teacher,and Spanish tutor for students of many age groups, including high school.
My years teaching were thus far the most rewarding times of my life. To see a child's face light up when he/she has that moment of "I get it!", is a priceless feeling for me. My teaching style is uncomplicated and simple,so the student can keep up easily.Since language is best learned through repetition, I make sure I go over the material several times and proceed only when the student has a clear grasp of the material.

A Little Bit About Me...

I earned a B. A. in French at The U. of Tennessee & have begun work on a Masters in Linguistics at The U. of Memphis. I have tutored French since 2004, volunteered teaching English, & worked as an English language assistant in a high school in France. My experience has afforded me the opportunity of the responsibilities of preparing French high school students for the required national exam to graduate high school in France by organizing my own lessons in collaboration w/the English teaching staff, helping to prepare students for tests, to speak & write well in a foreign language (discussing many elements of phonetics, vocabulary & grammar), to successfully complete homework assignments, & counseling students on study skills.
