I've worked with children in many differnt areas of education and with children on many different levels. My focus was on children with disabilities and speech/language disorders. I've worked with children w/developmental delays and regular education children. I've also served as a tutor to children in my area w/learning disabilities. I have a BS in Speech Pathology w/a minor in Special education and I am currently working on my MS Ed in School Counseling. I will graduate from the Univ of Southern MS in May 2011. I've tutored children in English, Math, Science, and Reading.

I love to learn, and love passing that on to others. I am a patient personality, and I may present a problem to a student to evaluate where they are. From there, we can go either backwards or to more advanced work. Education is very important for myself and for my children, and I like to instill that learning takes you further in life than where someone may have not even dreamed. I am a high school honors graduate with a BA in English and teacher certification in English, Spanish, psychology, and special education. I am national board certified in special education. I have tutored in Memphis, and have also taught learning strategies. I am retired and eager to find part time work.
I have worked with children of many different ages and backgrounds, and have learned something from each and every one of them. I substituted after graduation and realized I loved teaching. In college I was asked to tutor for my instructors. My classmates came over to my house to study. I graduated Magna Cum Laude from Ole Miss in 99'. I taught 2nd and 5th grade before going to Falkner to teach Special Ed. in grades 9-12. I helped prepare students for state tests. I co-taught in Eng. and Alg. I also taught MS Studies, W.Geog., U.S. History, Drama, Eng. II, U.S. History, Journalism, Tutorial and ACT prep also. I have experience in math and science as well. My students did projects such as: Greek masks, maps of MS, project boards on MS Indians and World Religions. I can relate to children of different ages; I have three children ages 5,9,and 18.
