A Little Bit About Me...

As a Business Administration major, I have had extensive schooling in all realms of business, accounting, and finance. In my earlier years, I had extensive exposure to math of all levels, as well. Additionally, I am very strong in English, even having edited a book and written the foreword for it. During my early college years I was employed in the Tutoring Lab and volunteered at the YMCA; more recently I have tutored individuals on an as-needed basis.
I believe that everyone is teachable, if the student has the desire and the teacher has the commitment. I tend to be a patient teacher, with high standards. I actively question the student, which allows me to challenge the student in my presence, where I am able to guide him/her. I come from a teaching family, and continue to learn from teachers myself. I feel that because I am still eager to continue to learn new things, I can appreciate a good teacher. I myself need good teachers, and I would not provide a student with anything but that. I am a hard worker and give 110% for every job that needs to be done. A Little Bit About Me...

I have tutored at a Learning Center at Shippensburg University for the past two years. I have accumulated over 100 hours of tutoring for all collegiate math courses at the 100 level, all at the 200 level, all at the 300 level, and one at the 400 level. I have participated in over 20 hours of tutor training. Typical subjects include finite mathematics, calculus I, calculus II, calculus III, discrete mathematics, calculus-based statistics, complex analysis, precalculus, mathematical modeling, calculus-based physics, euclidean/non-euclidean geometry, asbstract algebra, linear algebra, and many more. At the Learning Center, I have achieved CRLA level II certification.
