I am an award-winning journalist and editor with 10 years of experience. I graduated from the University of Kansas with a bachelor's degree in journalism. I also concentrated on English, political science and history while in school. While in college, I was the teaching assistant for advanced reporting and advanced editing, two capstone classes for a bachelor's degree. In those positions, I mentored students one-on-one, and I helped them improve their writing and editing skills. Since graduation, I have volunteered as a teacher for religious school, and I also freelance as an editor for several professional publications. I earned a 31 on the ACT and a 780 on SAT II: Writing.
