Involved in American Sign Language since 2003 as an interpreter. Trained in teaching deaf persons various subjects, then on to interpreting. Worked with DHIS NYC in 2005. Interpreted at colleges, on job training seminars, award ceremonies, doctor appointments, and court hearings.In the same year, moved to Malawi, Africa to help teach ASL, and currently helping establish Malawi Sign Language.

I start by asking the students to tell me exactly what is it that they not understand and start from there. I then like to work backwards from that point to find where they got lost. I also use everyday concepts to give similiar scenarios to get them on the right track. I find pleasure in seeing their faces light up once they come to understand the subject matter.
I enjoy teaching and working in the clinical practice performing laboratory tests and analyzing the results. I am enthralled with structures and functions of organisms and continuously intrigued with revelations of newly discovered mechanisms. I find gratification in getting a student to understand a concept being taught and in their expression of the lesson learned.
