As a graduate student at the University of Alabama I instructed 3 college level physical geography laboratory sections per semester. I start by asking the students to tell me exactly what is it that they not understand and start from there. I then like to work backwards from that point to find where they got lost. I also use everyday concepts to give similiar scenarios to get them on the right track. I find pleasure in seeing their faces light up once they come to understand the subject matter.
