young tutor that works well with children

I have 5 nephews and a daughter of my own shop I'm great with children. I was an honors grad and I also became a certified nursing assistant before I even graduated high school. I'm great in public speaking and have had many speeches myself with an audience of over one hundred. I do know the main signs as well as the alphabet for sign language because I have a brother and sister whom are deaf. Also I have always been great in mathematics. I keep an open mind to the various ways a student may learn because everyone is different.

A Little Bit About Me...

I earned my Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology at Colgate University. Later, I attended Penn State University where I studied elementary education and earned my teacher’s certification after taking classes, interning, and student teaching. I taught for six years: four years in first grade and two years in third grade. While teaching full-time, I also tutored for the school system after-school, on Saturdays, and during the summer. Those tutoring experiences involved students from grades 1, 3, 4, and 5. I also have done private tutoring for high schools students and adults, focusing on math, language, and test preparation. These experiences have provided me the opportunity to work with a diverse group of people: EIP, gifted, special education, ESL, etc.
