Every child can learn, but they don't all learn the same way

I have been teaching for over 10 years. I am currently a second grade teacher. I tutor during the summers and have students of all ages, including middle school and high school. My comments on tutoring Reading Comprehension : If you can read it, you can understand it and I can help with both.

Everyone is an expert at something. I happen to be an expert writer. I know the people I help learn to read and/or write are experts at something. My goal is to help people enough that they no longer need a tutor. I am patient, understanding, sometimes humorous, and always kind. I love helping people learn to write. I tutored my high school peers informally (without pay) as the President of the English Club at Guthrie Public High School, but I have recently started tutoring middle grade children as well as high school students. I scored a 31 on my ACT, was awarded the Smithsonian English Award, and I am currently enrolled at the University of Central Oklahoma as a Creative Writing major. My tutoring subjects include English, Reading, Writing Skills, and Study Skills for middle grade children.
