Algebra I is one of my top subjects!

I am a substitute math teacher for District 93. I took alot of math in college to earn my bachelors of science degree, and got all A's, with the exception of calculus. Math is my favorite subject. A Little Bit About Me...

I have a degree in mechincal engineering. I have work at the math tutoring center on the ISU campus in 1995 and 1996. I have also worked at the ISU student Math center in Idaho falls in 2010 and 2011. Most of my experience is working with students that strugle with math. I work best with students whom want to learn but are in need of help. I would like to try some other subjects.

Last year, I tutored students at Sandcreek Middle school on weekly basis and one student privately at Hillview Elementary (1st grader). A Little Bit About Me...

Throughout college I had extensive experience working with classmates while we solved math equations and physics problems together. I did volunteer work teaching English to children in Mexico as well as teaching English to college age students in Mexico.
I like to first get an idea of what the student knows about the problem.. I find that the more time I spend listening to what they know it naturally turns into what pieces I need to add-in. Unless they came to the session to learn new material that would be a different scenario entirely in which it would depend on the student how I taught. I would have to find out what type of a learner they are. Whether it be a visual learner, if they need examples or are an entirely conceptual type of learner.
