Use of Powerpoints with pictures and explanations which will not be found in textbooks. Strategies to correctly answer any nursing question, even if the material is unfamiliar to you Drills with multiple NCLEX questions from many different sources.
Previous nursing tutor at Dutchess Community College, Poughkeepsie, N.Y. Have compiled multiple Power Points over the years which explain concepts in simple terms and which have illustrations of concepts which will not be found in nursing textbooks. Unfortunately, nursing textbooks tend to be a faceless landscape which is presented to the student with many complex concepts. I began tutoring as an undergrad student working for the college's academic support office tutoring math and science courses. After graduating cum laude with a BA in Mathematics, BS in Meteorology, Physics minor, and Secondary Education certification, I went straight into teaching.
