I received a technology degree in 1975. Several years later I returned to college to persue a Physics/Mechanical Engineering Degree from SUNY New Paltz and RPI. I was an "A" student in Physics and enjoyed tutoring many classmates. I was a guest lecturer several times at RPI. Due to work and family commitments I did not complete the degree. My wife and I homeschooled our children through the primary grades. I taught sciences. While an Employee at IBM, I wrote and taight technical courses. Physics is my forte and I love talking about and teaching the subject. I am especially helpfull to students challenged by word problems. Throughout college I would host study groups in Physics and Chemistry. I currently am a financial advisor.

A Little Bit About Me...

Throughout my career, I have utilized my writing, research, analysis, and presentation skills to develop and conduct training programs, write manuals, and deliver presentations to all levels of management and staff. Specifically, I have written an "Effective Business Writing Manual" for employees who had been identified as needing basic grammar and writing skills. I have also written training materials for legal purposes, including, E-Discovery.
I not only enjoy teaching and training individuals, but also have been successful with training large groups of employees. I generally create manuals, which parallel a PowerPoint presentation used during the actual training session. I have also taught piano to children and adults, from beginners to advanced levels.

While studying for my undergrad in economics I found a passion in helping others succeed as I was. I often held study sessions with groups ranging from 2- 10 people at least twice a week. When during these sessions if an individual felt lost, I would often meet with them at a later date to coach them separately. I have yet to receive a further degree in teaching but may be a path a may take. It is such a wonderful feeling to succeed at academics and I love to help others experience that.
I have experience working with adults but I love working with children as well. I have the ability to manipulate the way I teach that will maximize the learning for each individual. I'm am a very personal and creative person thats wants everyone to succeed in their academics.
