I graduated from Central Carolina Community College,NC with an AA and a gpa of 3.98 in Lasers, Fiber Optics and Electronics. A Little Bit About Me...

I enjoy helping others understand statistical concepts as well as how they can be applied. I think it is important to have a great deal of patience when teaching and to always make it fun when possible. Also, I find it useful to remember that I was once learning statistics and remember the great skill of my professors and how integrative and exciting they made the process. I have taken on part of their approaches and try to use interesting examples in order to make learning statistics something to be excited for.

A Little Bit About Me...

My teaching style varies depending on the age and needs of the student. When I worked with younger children, I often made up a game to help the children learn the material while having fun. Even with older children I tried to make learning interactive and suit their personality. I also varied the amount and type of aid given based on the student’s needs. While I do think learning should be suited to the individual, I do require that the student focus entirely on studying during the tutoring session. I truly enjoy teaching and learning, and I have high expectations for the student's progress.
I graduated summa cum laude from Berea College with a Bachelor of Arts in Biology. I haven taken many courses in biology and chemistry. As a person who is passionate about children, I have worked alongside them for four years. I was a camp counselor for three years running and I also took part in extra tutoring at the school where I did my student teaching. I worked alongside a child that needed some extra help in reading and math. His test scores were raised significantly in that time that I was working with him.
