I am an English major at the University of South Carolina Beaufort in my final semester of study and will be graduating in December with a BA and a concentration in writing. Though I have never formally been a tutor, I have always been the person that my friends have gone to for help with composing papers, interpreting and analyzing passages of literature, and general study skills for how to improve their writing and/or reading abilities. My comments on tutoring Composition : I have had three short stories published. I enjoy helping students with creative writing as well as with essays related to the arts or to literature. I can also help students develop their own style of writing.

I have been teaching French to English-speaking people living in France since 1979. I have also been teaching English as a Second Language to French adults in a business environment and to high school/college students as well. I particularly enjoy tutoring reading and spelling to children K-12th Grade. However, since I have been residing in France for over 35 years, my speciality is also ESL and French to non-French speakers. My undergraduate degree was obtained at Agnes Scott College (Decatur, GA) and I went to France for my Junior Year Abroad. I am now moving back to the States (Savannah).

During the application and acceptance process I was an adjunct faculty member at a local technical college. My courses taught were remedial Algebra, biology, and anatomy and physiology. During the hours between classes I was a paid Tutor in the college's learning assistance center.
