As a tutor, I know I will be responsible for teaching, tutoring, and offering assistance on various math assignments and test preparations to students. I have worked with students both privately and in group sessions. I am a very patient person, friendly, and optimistic. I truly believe that I can make a difference in a student's life because I have experienced it before. A Little Bit About Me...

I believe that a big part of teaching is listening and observing. Not every student learns the same way, so it is important to be patient and try to understand what works best for the student. In many cases, examples are helpful in learning. Examples that are tailored to a specific student (e.g. drawing correlations to cooking for measurements, or sports for averages) can be a great basis for understanding concepts. I have done classroom teaching and one-on-one teaching. I prefer the one-on-one approach because it is so effective, and so satisfying for myself and the student when progress is made.
