I had no intention of teaching when I started my career in Psychology and the Analytical Chemistry industry. I continuously tried to improve my methadology to arrive at the right mix of stimulation and information to make the learning process as interesting as possible. Teaching the Physics of Xrays and chemical analysis does challenge one to keep assessing the learned content and modify as results indicate. Because each student, young or old, responds to different learning stimuli (graphical or verbal) at diffrent rates, I always try to get to know my student first. I then try to tailor my tutoring to how they respond best and retain what they've learned. I believe in repetition and using examples that a student can relate to, and then testing the student's understanding of the subject matter.
