My professional background is primarily in marine mammal behavioral biology. I have 10 years field experience studying whale and dolphin habitat use, foraging behavior, and human interaction occurances. I also have a strong background in terrestrial wildlife conservation and natural resource policy. I am a Phi Theta Kappa life member as well as a member of the Ecological Society of America (ESA). My two-year degrees gave me a strong background in both English and Humanity studies. I have a large passion for sciences, and teaching others. I am a kinesthetic and visual learner, and I understand that determining a students learning abilities is the first key to success with education.
