Spanish and teaching have always been passions of mine that I have been fortunate enough to make a career out of doing and using both. I have a bachelor's degree (BA) in Spanish with a teaching certificate and I am currently working on my Master of Arts in Curriculum and Instruction. I have taught for six years in the Northern Virginia area, Washington D.C. and in Independence, Missouri. I am a professional scientist and certified teacher in Mathematics and Physics, holding a Missouri State CPC certificate in both areas (valid for 99 years). I have been teaching Regular and College Physics classes at the high school level. Currently, I am teaching Physical and Earth Sciences, Algebra 1 and 2, Geometry and Trigonometry. I am also able to teach calculus. I have been taking classes at UMKC to complete the Teacher Education Program. A Little Bit About Me...

My form of teaching is such that it involves the students more than the tutor. I encouraged the student to be able to solve problems on their own. Call me when there is a problem that the student needs help. I love to know what part of the questions they don’t understand and help them to understand. To me interaction with students on particular question and trying to figuring out solutions together are more important than the final answer.
I first became interested in tutoring college. Then I started teaching both chemistry and math at both high school and college levels over the years.
