I am kind of new to teaching. I have taught my little brother everything he knows, and I've been told I have a really good way of teaching. Younger students catch on very quickly to what it is I am teaching. If they don't catch on quick, then no problem. I'm very patient and never give up until a student understands the concept. Graduated with honors from Modesto Junior College with an Associates in Music. Four semesters of Piano at the college, five semesters of Voice, four semesters of Music Theory and ear training, four semesters of choir, and two semesters of Electronic Music. As a student I have a firm grasp on music fundamentals and the basics of music theory as well as some voice and piano pedagogy. Aside from my experience within the field of my degree, I've always received very high grades in math and english classes. My comments on tutoring Poetry : Writer and Reader of Poetry

I am an Honors Graduate from California State University Stanislaus and I am knowledgeable on many subjects. I have had former experience in tutoring and I am more than willing to work with students of any age. I am proficient in English, Social Science, Study Skills, and many other areas. As an avid reader and excellent writer I am able to work with students on their writing skills at any level.
I am a hard worker and expect a similar attitude from the students I tutor. I tend to work out the problem for the student on one problem and then I watch as they go through a similar one to ensure they have understood. This repetative practice has proven efficient. I also tend to make the student practice more than the required assignments needed to be accomplished to ensure a firm grasp of the material.

I received my BA from Azusa Pacific University in 1994. In 1995, I worked full-time as a teacher while going to school at night and received my Multiple Subject Credential. I have been teaching in the public schools since 1994. I have taught 7th and 8th grade math, science, US History, and ESL.
