I have not tutored publicly before, but have tutored friends children/ family members for standardized tests such as the high school history and english statewide tests. I have tutored 5+ people in college algebra (all earning A's) as well as helped high school students with algebra. I am probably best at writing papers and reading comprehension type tasks. Because I have little experience, I would be willing to take reduced pay for a couple of sessions to assess if you feel I am helping your child, and then we could set a more formal agreement. My comments on tutoring College Algebra : Having trouble in College Algebra? No sweat, my goal is to show you how to become proficient in this area of study without the headache of feeling like your studying.

In 2009 I was selected by my Engineering Teacher to tutor his afternoon tutoring class because he had another class to teach and could'nt be in two places at the same time. I was chosen because of how proficient i was in mathematics, my ability to go and find it if I did'nt know, my willingness to help others, and because I withheld a GPA of 4.0.

Summer Math Tutor

My teaching style of choice is Demonstrator. I want to allow children to see examples and many different ways to complete a problem. I also would make sure real life application was involved in teaching students.
