Every student has a unique combination of learning styles, but he or she also has a predominant one such as visual learner, kinesthetic learner, etc. I try to figure out which style or styles the student responds to and use those styles to get through to the student. I also have the student explain the problem to me. Usually there is only one area where the student has gone astray in his or her thinking. By explaining the problem to me, I can see what he is and is not “getting.” Then we can concentrate only on what the student does not know. I can tutor any level math through college, physics, Spanish, English, ESL, earth and physical science. I can also tutor MS Word, Excel, Outlook, Adobe Photoshop, QuickBooks, etc. I am high school certified in Advanced & Intermediate Math, English, and Spanish K-12 as well as earth and physical science and ELL/ESL.
