I currently work as a substitute teacher at Riverside Military Academy. I've worked with elementary children and teenagers extensively. My most recent position serves twenty and thirty somethings in their personal and spiritual formation. I have published my writing, acted on stage, spoken before thousands and mentored dozens. My comments on tutoring Creative Writing : I love to write. Every year my class participates in the creation of our own class book, written and illustrated by students. I am very secure in my writing skills. I have received high scores on writing exams.

Never stop learning!

I grasped the importance of education at a very young age and excelled throughout school. Creative Writing is one of my top subjects! Deveioped and taught a high school creative writing course. Have been writing poetry for almost 30 years. Have written two screenplays, one based on the life of the Soviet-era composer Dimitri Shostakovich and the other a modern adaptation of Dostoevsky's novel The Idiot.

My comments on tutoring Creative Writing : Once I get my first book published, I will be able to call myself an expert in creative writing. Although my poems have been published in several university presses around the country (and I have a first place award for one of them), I think it is rather self serving to call myself an "expert." Creative writing is my favorite hobby, one that enriches my life in countless ways.

I enjoy humor where appropriate and am very patient with students who need time to understand concepts that are new to them.
I have extensive experience both locally and abroad teaching ESL. I taught in Korea for two years before working at a local ESL school. Within these two positions, I taught ages 5 through adult. Seven years ago, I became a certified teacher in Georgia and have been teaching ESOL in public schools since then. I have published about a dozen poems and one short story. Currently, I am working on my third novel and am looking for an agent. My forte as a teacher is discovering what a student is trying to convey in his/her writing.
