I am a flexible tutor and am able to switch up my teaching styles based on the strengths, preferences, interests and needs (what I like to call their SPINs). I try to meet each individual student's needs using a variety of teaching strategies and techniques based on their learning style(s). I have been tutoring individually for over 8 years for multiple families and children. I have been in child care as a nanny for the past 3 years. Before becoming a nanny I worked as a preschool teacher for about 2 years. I tailor my teaching style for the students. For example, formal and delegation styles are both required when teaching children due to course content and resources. Precise verbal instructions are needed with children because of attention time and listening skills aren’t always mature. Lectures, assignments and expectations are spelled out in the formal and discussions are encouraged which includes examples and observations. The students will demonstrate their learning styles through responses to visuals, auditory and kinesthetic which will further add to my tailoring.
