A Little Bit About Me...

I would say my teaching style is very thorough and repetitive. Repetition is what truly sticks information into student’s minds, despite its annoying tendencies. My middle school class would frequently complain that we had already covered something; but their test scores showed that it paid off in the long run! I am a kinesthetic learner and understand how everyone has different learning styles so I incorporate all styles when teaching a lesson. I include reading, verbal, visual and hands on learning when possible. When learning or teaching math I feel the more problems you can do the better.

I believe everyone can learn to read if given the proper phonics curriculum. All students love to learn if you can find the key to their style and desire. I enjoy the "art" of teaching, finding the student's "key", and watching the "lights" come on. I have been blessed to be chosen by several students as the most influential teacher in their academic careers.
