I have worked in both industry and government working on a worldwide basis with people of varying cultural backgrounds. I have traveled extensively in my profession. In December 2009, I graduated cum laude from the University of Wisconsin – Oshkosh with a BBA in Economics. While in school, I worked as a Supplemental Instructor for an introduction to business course, formulating and providing lessons to a group of undergraduate students. I also tutored individuals in both business and math. Additionally, I have several years of experience as a private music instructor, teaching lesson for guitar and music theory. I believe that in order for students to obtain knowledge, they must develop some level of interest in the subject. The learning styles of students vary widely; however, I believe all students respond to an approach which includes kindness, respect, persistence, and the acceptance of the student as an individual. I believe in encouraging students to ask questions, and showing them where to find the answers. Although it took me 15 years to obtain my B.S. in Business Management, I do not view that as a disadvantage.
