My comments on tutoring Geometry : With some experience

I started out tutoring elementary students in basic math and English grammar while I attended college part time in the 1980's. I continued tutoring young students and adults in the 1990's, tutoring Basic Math, Basic and Intermediate Algebra, Basic Geometry, English Composition, Speech, Study Skills and the Sciences. In addition, tips were given to enhance test-taking skills in hard-to-Ace subjects like Economics. I have tutored for the Sickle Cell Organization in 2001, helping students catch up numerous missed assignments. I tutor when the opportunity presents itself. Geometry is one of my top subjects!

I have been a math tutor since 6th grade and have continued to tutor since that point. All of my results have been positive, and I can guarantee improvement. I have attended Wayne state university Math Corps summer enrichment program as both a student for 3 years and as a tutor for 3 years, an uncommon feat. I was a member of the Michigan league of academic games from grades 4 to 8, going to the state finals each year. Math is literally my bread and butter.

Kind and patient tutor for math, science & computing.

Although not degreed in math, science or computers, they were my favorite subjects. More importantly, I am gifted in communicating concepts into terms my students understand and grasp. Repetition doesn't equate to learning, it's a component, it's a way to practice, but it is not how the mind grasps the concept.
