I have taught high school Spanish in a Christian school for 3 years. In college, I traveled to South America 3 times, and returned after graduating to teach in a language institute in Chile. I have many years of leadership experience as well as one-on-one teaching experience having taught private piano lessons for 9 years.
Laid-back, speech-focused. Although I am an expert and grammar and understanding grammar by relating it to English, I am a firm believer that simply speaking the language using subjects the student is interested in is the best way to learn and retain a language. I am very qualified to prepare the student for an exam, but also prepare them for conversation in Spanish or Italian.

My comments on tutoring Spanish : I am a native Spanish speaker.

Throughout my life, I have enjoyed doing mathematics. It has been my strongest subject since grade school. In middle school and high school I was consistently one of the top students in my mathematics courses. In college i took 3 semesters of Calculus (I, II, and III), 2 semesters of Probability and Statistics (I and II) and College Algebra along with some more advanced courses. My comments on tutoring Spanish : I minored in Spanish in College. I can teach the basics all the way up to Spanish III.

I have taught 5th Grade Math and Science, 3rd Grade, 2nd Grade as an Interventionist, Kindergarten, and most recently Advanced Math and Language Arts / ESOL/CIVICS in and Adult GED/HiSet program. A Little Bit About Me...

I enjoy tutoring and mentoring students. It is very rewarding to be able to help a student understand concepts that at first may seem complex. I do not believe negative criticism can help a child learn; I like to encourage students. A Little Bit About Me...

I am a recent graduate of kennesaw State University, with a Bachelor's Degree in Biology. I believe that I am competent in various areas of biology and chemistry, and will be able to convey that competence. I have taught and tutored at my church and in other volunteer programs since high school. I also currently give drum lessons at a Stephen's Music Company.
I always find myself trying to lead others to figure out material on their own as a I set guidelines for them as they do so. I believe this is the best way for them to learn the material. I do not like to tell my students the answers, inhibiting them from thinking things through. I try to find different ways of teaching material in order to keep them motivated, as well.
