A Little Bit About Me...

I am a recent graduate from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville, with a BS in Business Administration - International Business and a focus in Chinese. Because this program is relatively new, a degree in International Business required multiple Finance courses, which allowed me to learn many advanced statistical and mathematical concepts. In these classes, I often assumed an informal tutor role and helped my fellow students understand difficult points. In addition, I trained new employees during my tenure as Lab Manager of a campus computer lab.
I like to teach by using examples (as many as it takes) and by breaking down difficult concepts into relevant, manageable information for the person I'm assisting. Upon graduating from an accredited college, Saint Louis University, I was confident that I would use my education in the best way possible. One of the principles that SLU teaches its student is to give back to the community. In my opinion, there is no better way to do than through education. My experience includes 3 years of mentoring with Mentor St.Louis. During this time, I was paired with one or two students during the school year. We would have 2 sessions a month where we'd read books and teach the months lesson. I have tutored my younger siblings through elementary and middle school.
