A Little Bit About Me...

I am a life-long learner, both academically and professionally with a diverse professional experience. I have an MS degree in Public Health and a BA in Biology. I have professional experience as a cell biology lab technician, sales representative, medical science liaison, product manager, and as an adjunct faculty member at a local community college where I taught biology, microbiology, botany, and human anatomy laboratory courses. I come from a family of teachers. My first teaching job was as a ski instructor when I was 15 years old.

A Little Bit About Me...

As an undergraduate student at Utah State University, I spent two years working as a Undergraduate Teaching Fellow, a Teacher's Assistant, and a Supplemental Instructor. I taught labs and assisted students with understanding information in the subject areas of Microbiology, Human Anatomy, and Human Physiology. I held review sessions, created tests and quizzes, and met with students individually or in groups to answer questions, review tests, or improve study habits.
I love teaching because I myself am an avid learner. I have a passion for the subjects I teach and hope that I can instill this same passion in those I teach. A Little Bit About Me...

During my two-year residency in the country of Peru, I taught English courses to groups of native Spanish-speakers. I have a degree in Spanish from Weber State University and use the Spanish language daily. My wife is currently enrolled in her second year of college Spanish, and I am a constant tutor for her. She has maintained top level grades in her Spanish courses.
Learning should be fun. I help my students relate to the material they are studying. My experience in other Spanish-speaking countries, provides a real-life application of the course materials. I know the Spanish language. Through my studies, I have disected the phonetics of each word and can provide expert teaching of the language.
