I have two years of experaince teaching in public schools and four years of experaince teaching in Christian schools. I have an advanced degree in information technology and a background in English education. I have learned something from each of my students in my yeears of teaching but I think that my first year taught me the most. My comments on tutoring Study Skills : I have found students need some time management skills, graphic organizers and knowledge of learning preferences to increase his/her comprehension of any subject.

I am a listener first and foremost. I want to know what my students expect from me and in what areas s/he regard as most essential to her/his success. I believe all people can learn and understand. It is a pleasure to watch students grow in skill and comprehension and move toward confidence.

I have worked in both the public and private school settings and have 20 years teaching experience. I really enjoy tutoring. I love watching the students gain confidence as we work through the problems. I believe my attitude and approach to teaching helps the students. I held this position for two years along with a summer position tutoring Algebra and French with HEC Upward Bound, which service at-risk youth.
