Elementary Reading is one of my top subjects!

I have worked with everything for Pre-K to 11 grade. I have tutored, Special Education Classrooms, and Regular Education Classrooms. I have been a teacher for the past 8 years. My comments on tutoring Elementary Reading : I am a certificated reading specialist K-12

I am a listener first and foremost. I want to know what my students expect from me and in what areas s/he regard as most essential to her/his success. I believe all people can learn and understand. It is a pleasure to watch students grow in skill and comprehension and move toward confidence.
I love teaching. I earned my BA before I was old enough to vote. While my classmates were in his/her senior year, I was teaching. Eventually I earned my M.Ed. in Reading, then started School Administration and Adult Education. In all these fields I find similar necessary skills: patience, co-operation among staff and colleagues, knowledge of subject matter, communication with the community and parents and a well defined curriculum.
