My very first year of teaching was at the Lehigh Valley Performing Arts High School, and I also taught for two years at Northern Lehigh High School. From 14 years of age, I have tutored elementary school students in Reading, English, and most often and successfully, Math. In highschool, I tutored students in Geometry. I have also assisted G.E.D. students in preparations for the Mathematics portion of the test, which covered basic mathematics and Pre-Algebra and Algebra 1. I create a learning plan that best suits the student and gives him or her the capacity to confidently understand the material.

I have been teaching Reading for 15 years. The past two years I have been our 6th grade Reading Specialist. I have been teaching Reading for 15 years. I like to do a lot of positive reinforcing and reaffirming. I have worked with children for over 15 years. During this time I have provide homework help and tutoring in Math, Reading and Spanish. The children that I have worked with range in age from 5 to 17 years old. I have also done an extensive amount of work with infants and toddlers in the field of early learning as a nanny. My experience in working with children of so many ages has helped me to know what steps to implement in order to make children feel comfortable and confident while addressing challenges to learning materials. I have always enjoyed math and reading as a student and spent a short period of time studying Spanish abroad.
