A Little Bit About Me...

I am a teenager who loves helping and tutoring people. I loves to read and play music. I played flute for 2 years as well as other instruments such as piano and guitar and percussion. I strive to include various learning styles when working with children. Some students learn best by listening or writing, while others need movement or tactile experiences to help in comprehension. I believe in keeping students engaged at all times, to minimize wasted time. Every child has potential. A teacher just has to know how to reach each child, and that happens when the students builds trust with the teacher.
I have taught music in public education for the last 15 years. I have been involved in church music ministry for over 25 years, and currently am the church pianist in Stockton, Ca. I love working with children of all ages. Math is my second love and I almost majored in math instead of music. Math was always easy for me in school. Except for my family, music is my top priority, and it is my personal goal to go as far as I can professionally by giving all that I can personally. With that said I believe that I would be selfish not to try and share it. I have been a professional bassist for about 12. My teaching experience includes, Private Teaching, High School Coaching, Staff Bass Teacher for Civic Arts Programs, as well as a Clinician.
