I have obtained a BS in Management-Health Care/HR and 5 Associate degrees in Business Administration, Administrative Office Technology, Medical Office Technology, Legal Secretary, and College Transfer. I have been homeschooling my son since 2006 and mentoring students through a local church for just as long. In addition, I tutored in 1990-1991 and 1994-1997 while in college to earn extra money. A Little Bit About Me...

I was a student teacher while attending College for my BS in Biology and minor in Chemistry. In 1982-84 I taught Biology to pre-nursing students while attending school for Commercial Art at Fayetteville Community College. I coached personnel on computer skill (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) as part of my daily job. I speak, read and write Spanish, college level.
I believe working with children is best on a one to one basis. This provides the student special attention to fulfill their needs. I am a firm believer that building a positive attitude and self confidence will provide them with the desire to excel. A Little Bit About Me...

My views on education have not changed all these years: I feel that hands on, one-on-one learning can vastly improve not only a person’s grades, but a person’s desire to learn and grow. I am patient, soft-spoken, gentle, and can be calming or energizing depending on what is most needed. I was greatly influenced by my teachers as a child, and realize the profound effect a mentor can have on a student, child or adult.
