I try to be as prepared as possible when I teach. I try to have the clearest lesson plan possible. Once this is in place, I try to be as energetic as possible in order to engage the student with the material in question. Additionally, I believe that a teacher must remain patient with all students. If one is prepared, patient and passionate, then success is much more likely. I also try to always remain flexible and ready to adapt to the needs of the student or students. If possible, I try to get to know the student or students in order to have a better bond with them. I always respect students and expect the same in turn.

A Little Bit About Me...

I love tutoring and mentoring. I naturally adapt my style to that of each student. As part of the instruction, I often ask easy questions to help them discover the rules of math for themselves. By doing this, my students quickly find concepts that were difficult for them begin to make sense! I also encourage them to ask about everything in the lesson they don’t fully understand. I am very patient, caring and encouraging. I help my students build confidence, self-esteem and a positive attitude.
I have taught, tutored, trained and mentored students of all ages for more than 15 years. My background includes being a math teacher and adjunct professor.
