Government is one of my top subjects! I worked in public policy for around 5 years, and took a number of courses in government as an undergrad and graduate student.

I finished as an undergraduate with a major in economics, and minors in history, philosophy and religion. Next I worked for a year as a political risk analyst for a large multinational company helping them evaluate risks inherent to investing in unfamiliar environments. I found I enjoyed the work, but wanted to get more economics training with the hope of teaching economics. I moved from the for-profit company to their non-profit foundation that sponsored economic research, and spent the next 4 years evaluating grants in the area of economics, public policy, law and political science. I always found that one of my favorite parts of my job was teaching those I supervised about economics and government. I know what it takes to teach and learn a foreign language because I am fluent in French. I was inspired by watching the great teachers that I had in high school and college. I have taught English as a second language, so I have classroom experience to add to my general knowledge of the language and culture.
I believe in letting the child set the pace when it comes to private tutoring. I would listen to child to learn what truly interests them and inspires them. I would then use this is my lessons so they enjoy the learning process. Children enjoy learning anything when it is taught in the appropriate way.
