My comments on tutoring Algebra : I have tutored students in Algebra I before.

I prefer the Socratic method of asking/answering questions and discussion, but I am more than capable of diverting to a more lecture style of teaching if that is what works with the student. I tailor my teaching style to the strengths of the student.

A Little Bit About Me...

I have been able to tutor at the college level in subjects such as chemistry and anatomy and physiology for a brief period of time while I was a student at Northwest Shoals Community College. After I finished my BS at University of North Alabama, I taught for a year at Shoals Christian. There I taught high school physical science courses. In school I took a class that taught us that everyone learns in a different way. Just like how everyone sees things from different perspectives. After taking that class I realized that there is not just one way to teach or learn. I feel learning should be educational but fun. Repetition is also important.
