Being in college for four years exposed me to social environments that I normally wouldn't have been able to encounter on a day to day basis. Whether I was learning on my own, working with or helping fellow classmates, or even just observing how the professors worked with us, I was always learing new concepts or methods of how to interact with a wide variety of characteristics in a diverse group of people. I began my study of American Sign Language (ASL) at the tender age of 12, then studied Latin in high school with Mrs. Ellen Conrad. When I reached college, I continued my study of ASL while tutoring friends in Latin. I have studied Arabic and Irish Gaelic at the college level, and dabbled in Spanish, Hawaiian Creole, and various African languages. In addition to learning, I love to teach.
