Social Studies is one of my top subjects!

Hello I'm Robert! I am a sophomore majoring in History at New York University. I have always loved history. Some of my earliest childhood memories are of joyfully snuggling up in our family room’s giant checkered armchair with one of my favorite history books. At the age of eight, when other kids started to read books like Harry Potter or the Percy Jackson series, I was reading the Wicked History series about historical figures such as Vlad Dracul or Cixi. While many other children might have found non-fiction history books dull, I found myself much more mesmerized by the lives of these historical figures than I was by a fictional boy wizard. A Little Bit About Me...

I enjoy teaching when there is a bit of a challenge getting the student to understand the concept. As I have mentioned, I can use different styles to help the student get the concept. I have a great deal of patience and believe that everyone can learn. I enjoy the way someone looks after they have understood and mastered an idea.
I tutored all subjects - especially in Math all through High School. I also tutored in college. I have strong skills in Math - all levels - but I especially enjoy algebra. I have two children and I basically taught my oldest son math, since he was a different kind of learner than the way they teach at school. He is a very kinesthetic type learner and needs to see, feel and touch to understand the concepts - so I used a lot of tools to help him.
