My comments on tutoring Ballet : 4yrs class and theater

I would describe my teaching style as dynamic, creative student-centered
I've either taught or tutored in some form or fashion for over 17yrs now. I've had ages 3yrs to 22yrs old covering all manner of subjects and hobbies. One of my most rewarding experience was with an 18 year old special needs 10th grader ready to drop out of school. We met 2-3x a week for 6mths. In that time he raised his GPA from 1.2 to 2.7. He completed his 10th grade year and went on to take and pass the G.E.D. the following year.

I provide learners with multiple approaches to finding resources, making statements or arguments, and creating a cohesive line of thinking. By doing this, the learner is able to carry these skills across other courses, but also into their personal life and experience. Connecting the content to the individual’s live and experience is important. I enjoy helping learners find out how they learn best, developing these skills, and enabling them to be successful in their future learning endeavors.
