My pedagogical approach is founded upon space creating – creating an atmosphere that allows for each student to express themselves and become a valuable part of their own learning process. Without the student and their own initiative, minimal learning will take place. Such an approach provides students with a language of critique and critical understanding of the subject matter at hand. I have grown up in an education oriented household with both parents as teachers (Dad Chemistry and Mom English). Since earing my degree in CIS I have had 10 years of industry experience as well as having worked as a substitute teacher in both the Galesburg (CUSD #205, 200-2001) and Peoria (District 150,2007-Present) School Districts.
I believe everyone has their own aptitude for learning and will endeavor to discover each childs unique style for learning to help them strive to do their best in each endeavor they apply themselves to.
