A Little Bit About Me...

I always have to assess what my students don't know. I have to create a method of teaching the information to them that they can relate to. After I teach I always ask myself, "What have they learned? How do I know that they have learned it?" I am genuinely rewarded when I see a student succeed. I also understand that our education system is largely driven my standardized tests. I believe making the information relevant to the student is important. I like to use humor and real-life examples to keep students engaged. I obtained Secondary Teacher Certification in Social Sciences. I taught high school and middle school Spanish for two and half years at public schools, and completed my student teaching at an alternative school for juvenile criminals.
