Enrolled in Advanced Placement for all of High School and graduating with a 3.5 GPA, I have five years of tutoring experience, students ranging from 5 years to college age. I also have experience in resume assistance, test preparation, and public speaking. I am currently in the process of getting a Bachelor’s Degree in English Language and Composition, as well as teaching credentials for the state of California.

A Little Bit About Me...

I work at knowing my students learning styles and tailoring my teaching to meeting their needs, by using different teaching strategies to engage them in learning. I try to be approachable, so the students can feel good about talking to me about their concerns, hopefully leading them to be able to work efficiently in classroom and being successful.

I am a very down to earth person especially when it comes to kids. I always try to lighten up the mood and make learning things interesting and fun. I don't like to dismiss when I see a child having trouble in something. Every person has a different way of learning, I try to cater to each of their needs.
I have tutored children in reading last summer. It was one of the most gratifying things I have done. I worked with English as second language children ranging from ages 5 to 13. We used a lesson plan and several activities to help children in achieving their reading level goals. Also, in my undergrad experience, I excelled in writing and was very good with meeting deadlines.
